Glad to hear it, Erick! In some ways, yes. The one difference is that KPIs aren't all lead metrics. KPI could just be an OKR in disguise (ex. OKR = 1M in revenue, KPI = $ in revenue). The KPI needs to be something moveable that predicts the OKR becoming true.
Hey, Will! Thanks for sharing that, I loved it :)
I have a question
Can we say that OKRs it's a lag metric and KPI it's a Lead metric?

I have been going through this phase of defining lag and lead metrics, thanks Will for bringing in more clarity:)
Really happy it’s helpful, Bhawana!
Great article. The Lean Startup has a great breakdown of Vanity Metrics vs Actual Metrics too.
Oh sweet. But want to clarify that lag is different from vanity! Lag metrics are still very useful :)
Hey Will, I really loved your articulation relating it to personal life goals!
Hi Will, I feel lead/lag metrics falls align neatly with the Tiny Habits method by BJ Fogg. What do you think?
I'm not very familiar with "Tiny Habits". But I'm sure there are similarities!
